Written and produced “Bitter Coffee” in 2024. It’s a 2-hour murder mystery drama with a captivating story of a struggling artist who becomes entangled in a dangerous game of survival when an unhinged drug dealer demands repayment of a debt she can’t afford — leading to a deadly confrontation that exposes dark secrets, testing her resolve and forcing her to confront a life-altering mystery.
Responsibilities
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER:
Built the Production Team: Worked closely with the director to select key actors and key crew members, such as the production designer, cinematographer, location coordinator, and editor.
Developed the Concept: Collaborated with the director and writers to develop the concept, refine the script, and ensure that the story was aligned with the production's goals and the intended audience.
Managed the Budget: Created and managed the budget for the film, ensuring that the production stays within financial constraints.
Coordinated the Scheduling: Oversaw the creation of the production schedule.
Scouted the Locations: Secured filming locations, ensuring that locations met the logistical and creative needs of the film.
Maintained Communication: Supervised daily operations, ensuring that the project was sticking to the schedule, and managing any issues that may arise on set.
Solved On-Set Problems: Handled unexpected challenges, whether it was a technical issue, personnel conflict, weather delays, or budget overruns.
Reviewed Rough Cuts: Reviewed the rough cuts and early edits of the film, working closely with the director and editor to ensure that the film was shaping up as intended.
FIRST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR:
Created the Shooting Schedule: Created and distributed the daily call sheets, which list all the details for the next day’s filming (what time actors need to arrive, what scenes will be filmed, location details, etc.).
Maintained Efficiency: Worked as a liaison between director and crew, ensuring that the director can focus on the creative aspects while the 1st AD handles the logistics, ensuring that everything runs on time and that there are no unnecessary delays.
Managed Talents: Ensured the actors’ schedules were coordinated, managed the arrival times for actors and kept them informed about changes to the schedule.
Coordinated Crew: Managed all departments on set—camera, lighting, sound, costume, and more
Supervised Post-Production: Helped coordinate the wrap process by ensuring that the production team properly documents what was shot, what needed to be picked up, and any other post-production logistics.
